Commentary
Scott Schoenherr expresses the "impact of human beings on nature" by using animal and human imagery in his ceramic work. "Our presence on earth has sped up changes to the environment at an alarming rate," he says. "I hope to suggest the delicate interrelationship between nature and humans." In "Behind the Masks" there is a sense of formality and ritual associated with the two standing human figures which are both mysteriously punctuated by the attachment of several running foxes.
