Walkowitz' continued interest in depicting entagled groups of figures rendered through an economical, semi-abstract style is evident in the watercolor "Untitled (Abstract Figures)," 1934. In this work the overlapping shapes of nudes gather into a mass which fills almost the entire sheet of paper. The colors are soft, the brushwork swift, cursive, spontaneous.
