Object Type: Ceramic
Creation Place: North America, United States, California
Medium and Support: Stoneware and wood
Credit Line: Gift of Frieda K. Bradsher
Accession Number: 2007.114

Created from unglazed black stoneware ceramic, this work takes the concept of the vessel and abstracts it into a wall-mounted sculpture. The thin coiling of this form appears more like cloth than ceramic, with folds and creases built out of very delicate sheets of clay.
