Commentary
Placed against the planar effect of sky and sea, the sculpture of Peter Voulkos asserts its monumentality in terms of size, impace and pith of statement. Three diverse shapes are unified by their rightful proportions.

The supporting forms are of copper nickel bronze tubing; the horizontal form is of monel; the biomorphic shape at the highest point of the work is of manganese and aluminum bronze.
