Commentary
Archipenko was one of the early modernists to expand the ideas of cubism into three-dimensional sculpture. And, like Abraham Walkowitz’ drawings of dancer Isadora Duncan elsewhere in this gallery, Dancer suggests the many turns of a figure simultaneously.
