I was strongly drawn to the tradition of making pots that had a function where I could see elements in the form that would remind me of usefulness, but the work was more about the form than its different relationships. . . . I concentrated on making straightforward pieces that had some beauty in their quality but were more functional pieces. – Walter Keeler
