Commentary
This delicate bowl could easily be imagined cupped in the hands. It is light and exquisitely formed from porcelain covered in a rich henna-colored glaze. Andreson said of the difficulty of working in porcelain, "I like the challenge of procelain, and its refined surface, which influences the clarity of the form. I try to eliminate too much decoration and too many ideas in one piece." It was selected for the 1976 Ceramics Conjunction exhibition at the Museum and was added to the collection as a Purchase Award.
